Brasserie Fischer Brewery

In 1821 in Strasbourg in France, John Fischer founded the Brasserie l'Ours-Blanc, which in 1840 became Fishermen's Brasserie, from the name of the founder. In 1854 the brewery moves to Schiltigheim. At the beginning of XX century come acquired some small local breweries and in 1922 the Adelshoffen brewery, also based in Schiltigheim.

In 1995 the Beer Desperados, flavored with Tequila.

At the beginning of 1996, Heineken becomes the majority shareholder of the Fischer-Adelshoffen group. In July 2000 the Adelshoffen brewery is closed and production transferred to Fischer. May 30th 2008 Heineken announces the closing of the Fischer brewery for the following year, Fischer will remain only as a brand.
