Cortaccia Winery

The Cortaccia winery was founded in 1900 in the village of the same name in South Tyrol; the vineyards are spread over 190 hectares cultivated by as many partners, at altitudes between 220 and 900 m a.s.l., this difference in height of 700 meters in a single municipality is unique in Europe.

The vineyards perched on the steep slopes above the town are those of white grapes, this type of vine has adapted perfectly to the limestone soils of the Dolomites and are lovers of gusts of wind and lower temperatures. The hottest areas in all of South Tyrol are the lower ones, where the red grape varieties find the optimal conditions and the ideal terroir.

The Cortaccia wine cooperative is one of the oldest in the region, with its 190 families it boasts a long tradition and valuable experience in viticulture handed down from generation to generation, engaging in natural and sustainable production.

The company boasts the youngest president in the history of South Tyrolean wineries, the young responsible and dynamic Andreas Kofler of only 32 years.
