Ferrucci Winery

The Ferrucci farm was founded in 1932, with about 15 hectares of vineyards on a medium hill, in one of the most important enological areas of all Romagna. Over the years, Tenuta Ferrucci has best expressed all its extraordinary production potential, thanks to the love dedicated to work and respect for the territory.

The production was based on the decision to vinify exclusively grapes from the estate's vineyards, a decision derived from a constant and accurate search for quality. The vines are pruned in order to obtain a limited production of fruit; when withering, the small newly formed bunches are thinned out; during the harvest, only a careful selection of the crop becomes wine.

In recent years the company has invested in research and experimentation of clonal choices, and planting layouts, in order to increase the quality of the grapes. The cellar is equipped with high-tech machines which, combined with the great competence of the employees, allow a perfect progress of the entire production cycle, from the field to the cellar.

The cellar has been obtained from an ancient Roman building which it is said was once a stable for changing horses commissioned by Caius Gracchus (gens Caia) a building which retains all the charm of times gone by, while coexisting with a modern technological equipment.
