Gruss Winery

The Gruss company is located in Eguisheim in Alsace, France; in the twentieth century, Eugene Gruss traded wine products and it was his son Josef who decided to produce the typical wines of the region himself by planting the first vineyards. The Gruss family has always been involved in the production of high quality organic wines for three generations, and they breed exclusively white grape varieties.

The agronomic rules respected between the rows are those of organic farming, practicing grassing using only organic fertilizers, without the use of chemicals in respect of nature and man. In respecting the balance of the ecosystem, the production processes are followed very scrupulously, starting with the harvest which is done manually, and then vinifying in old oak barrels, all in a natural way by letting the wine take its course.

The company harvests genuine, healthy and valuable grapes, and the cultivated vines are: Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Sylvaner, Pinot Gris and Muscat di Cremant, all grown in an optimal climatic context thanks to the Vosges mountains that shelter them from cold winds, making the quite mild and warm climate.
Gruss wines have typical and clean aromas, they are robust, soft and spicy.
