The Martinez winery was born in the extreme tip of Western Sicily, in Marsala in 1866, territory of the homonymous DOC. It takes its name from the founding family, which through a combination of innovation and tradition, has made its products unique for six generations. Over the years, the company has remained faithful to the product for which it was born and made it known, Marsala, the most prestigious and famous Italian fortified wine.

The history of the company follows that of the family, starting with its founder, Carlo Martinez and through the succession of faces and personalities that have given life to a unique and excellent tradition.

Carlo found in the lively town of Marsala, the hub of the trade of the time and of the island's wine production, the ideal place to put down roots to give life to his entrepreneurial dream, together with his brother Francesco.
