Immersed in the Cesena hills, Tenuta Montaia is born. A few kilometers from the sea as an area, the estate enjoys an ideal microclimate constantly influenced by sea breezes. Constantly sunny hills allow to obtain a production of excellent quality grapes. The plant has over 6,500 plants per hectare. 

It is said that in the Sangiovese from Romagna the heart of the Romagnoli is contained. A wine on the outside frank, exuberant, straightforward, and at the same time also rough and with splendid acid notes. This estate has been able to enhance both the wine and its container.  

In addition to an extremely diversified production between various vines such as Chardonnay and Cabernet, a great collaboration is also born: an exaltation of the values enclosed in the Romagna land that are expressed by the Romagna of Tonino Guerra. Poet, artist and screenwriter, Tonino Guerra wants to celebrate his land, dedicating his own painting to each bottle of the Montaia winery and thus giving more luster to a wine that truly knows how to express emotion.
