Winery history Artisans Vignerons de Naoussa

It presents itself as a group of producers established to showcase the native Xinomavro grape in the hilly vineyards of the Naoussa region. Over time the project has expanded beyond Naoussa under the broader brand «Artisans Vignerons du Nord», including grapes and wines from other areas of northern Greece.

Production philosophy

A collaborative approach to selected grapes, sustainable practices and minimal-intervention winemaking; the vineyards are managed according to certified organic standards, and fermentations with native yeasts are preferred to express the terroir.

Terroir and vineyards

Naoussa region. Soils are predominantly calcareous with granite and schist subsoil; vineyards extend to approximately 400 m in elevation; warm continental climate with hot summers and cold winters; the area is prone to summer weather events such as hail and to wildlife incursions.

Awards and recognitions

Commercial listings and tasting notes: Falstaff awarded 93 points to the Naoussa in a review; the project is listed on international sales and review platforms.
