Winery history Blaxsta Vingård

Blaxsta was founded as one of Sweden’s first commercial wineries. Founders Göran and Ulrika Amnegård developed the estate after experience abroad and, since autumn 2000, the property has produced local wines, gaining particular renown for its Vidal Ice Wine, exported and awarded in international competitions.

Production philosophy

Small-scale production focused on quality and on adapting winemaking techniques to the Nordic climate; the winery aims to produce distinctive, terroir-driven wines suited to food pairing, integrating winemaking with dining and hospitality.

Terroir and vineyards

Located near Lake Långhalsen in Södermanland County, about a 1.5-hour drive from Stockholm, the location is often cited as among the northernmost in the world for commercial vineyards and benefits from local conditions favorable to the production of ice wine.
