Winery history Brisson-Lahaye

The Brisson-Lahaye family gradually transformed a farm into a wine estate: Eliane Brisson married Joël Lahaye in 1981, and in the 1980s the couple joined the parents' business. In the 1990s they expanded their parcels and, in 1994, left the cooperative to become Récoltants-Manipulants, carrying out all stages of winemaking on the estate. Their daughter Laure joined the business in 2004 after studying viticulture and oenology; following Joël's retirement in 2021 and Eliane's in 2023, Laure now runs the family estate alongside her partner Matthieu Foissy.

Production philosophy

The approach emphasizes terroir expression and respect for biodiversity. Harvest is done by hand; the musts are vinified separately by grape variety and by parcel. Vinification takes place primarily in stainless steel, with part of the ageing in oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation is carried out for most cuvées, and the bottles are aged on the lees in a cellar carved into the chalk.

Terroir and vineyards

The estate is based in Tours-sur-Marne. Its vineyards are spread across several terroirs of the region — including the slopes of the Montagne de Reims, the Marne Valley and the southern slopes of Épernay — enabling the use of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier to create cuvées with varied profiles.
