The estate was purchased and renamed Casanova di Neri by Giovanni Neri in the early 1970s; the company quickly developed, focusing on vineyard selection and Brunello di Montalcino, with the first bottles in the 1970s and the development of single-cru wines such as Cerretalto and Tenuta Nuova. In the following years management passed to the next generation and the winery established itself internationally, receiving accolades and numerous high scores.
