Winery history Cascina Fonda

The estate originated as an agricultural farmhouse owned by Secondino Barbero and his family. From the early 1960s vine cultivation gradually expanded and, with the arrival of his sons Marco and Massimo toward the end of the 1980s, the company consolidated as a modern winery. Over the years the vineyard area was increased to form today’s holdings across the municipalities of Neive and Mango. The winery also established a vinification facility designed in the early 2000s.

Production philosophy

Balance between tradition and innovation: artisanal care of the local grape variety combined with the production of traditional-method sparkling wines and still wines representative of the region, with a focus on vineyard quality and the enhancement of local varieties.

Terroir and vineyards

Vineyards situated on the Langhe hills, between the municipalities of Neive and Mango. The area is characterized by hilly slopes ideally suited to the production of aromatic wines and quality sparkling wines.
