Winery history Castello dei Monaci

The estate is a castle with medieval origins linked to the presence of Basilian monks and underwent transformations between the 16th and 19th centuries. During the 19th century the property passed to families of winegrowers who introduced international grape varieties. Today the estate houses the winery, the Museo Merum and guest accommodations that showcase the area's winemaking tradition.
