Winery Château Petit Faurie de Soutard

Originally part of the extensive Château Soutard estate, the property is recorded as "Petit Faurie" in nineteenth-century inventories; two parcels were split off from Château Soutard around 1850. Over the years the estate changed hands several times and assumed its current name in 1969. It has held Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé status since the 1955 classification. Since 2017 the estate has been owned by the AG2R LA MONDIALE group, which has directed management toward agroecological practices and quality improvement.

The production approach aims to enhance the terroir and the quality of the fruit through precise, measured operations: hand harvesting, selection, traditional vinification in stainless steel tanks and ageing in French oak barrels. Vineyard management prioritizes biodiversity and agroecological practices to preserve soil and landscape.

Located on the heights of the medieval village of Saint-Émilion, the vineyard sits on a limestone ridge with alternating limestone and marl soils, ancient sands and siliceous clays; the estate overlooks the vineyard listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
