Winery history Domaine Cazes

Founded by the Cazes family, Maison Cazes has been based in Rivesaltes in the Roussillon since 1895. Over the course of the 20th century the estate grew to become one of the region’s most recognized names; since the late 1990s management has begun converting the estate’s vineyards to organic and biodynamic practices.

Production philosophy

The estate prioritizes terroir expression and environmentally respectful agricultural management: organic production and a biodynamic approach to enhance the characteristics of the different vineyards and preserve local biodiversity.

The estate is located in Rivesaltes, in the heart of the Roussillon, in a region between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. It produces wines under the area's principal appellations and typical sweet wines such as Muscat de Rivesaltes.
