Winery Domaine de la Garance

The estate has been linked to the Meffre family since 1880; a winery was established in the 1920s by Albert Meffre. The domaine's name was adopted by the next generation in 1958; the Liautaud family managed and expanded the property throughout the 20th century, and it is currently run by André Liautaud. In the 2000s the winery built an underground winemaking facility and also developed hospitality with guest rooms.

A pursuit of elegance and aromatic purity in the cuvées, with a practical focus on the environment: conventional farming practices with a judicious use of products, the use of organic fertilizers and soil cultivation. A portion of the harvest is hand-picked, with selection in the vineyard.

Southeast-facing vineyards on clay-limestone soils with galets. The estate is located in the commune of Rasteau, in the Southern Rhône Valley, near the Dentelles de Montmirail.
