Winery history Domaine du Cayron

The estate has been tended by the Faraud family for generations; according to the official website, the activity dates back to 1840. Today, management is entrusted to the three sisters Delphine, Cendrine and Roselyne, who continue the family's practices and stewardship of the estate while maintaining the region's winemaking traditions.

Production philosophy

Low‑intervention approach: hand-harvested grapes, careful selection and fermentations with indigenous yeasts. Winemaking follows traditional methods and aging takes place in large oak foudres, aiming to express the character of the terroir rather than pronounced technological interventions.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in the village of Gigondas on the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The vineyards are on clay‑limestone, sandy and gravelly soils and comprise numerous parcels across the appellation, including plots in the Bois de Menge with vines up to about 70 years old.

Awards and recognitions

Pearl 3-Star Prestige recognition.
