Winery history Domaine Jean-Michel Gaunoux et Fils

The Gaunoux family has been present for generations in the Côte de Beaune. Jean‑Michel established his own domaine around 1990 by bringing together parcels from his maternal side; his son Henri joined the management in 2012. More recently the business is registered as DOMAINE JEAN‑MICHEL GAUNOUX ET FILS, based in Meursault.

Production philosophy

Traditional vineyard work with 'lutte raisonnée' practices and limited cellar interventions: unobtrusive winemaking, moderate use of wood during maturation, and minimal handling to preserve the purity and typicity of the terroir.

Terroir and vineyards

Vineyards spread across several communes of the Côte de Beaune — Meursault, Puligny, Volnay and Pommard — on the typically calcareous‑marly soils characteristic of the area.
