Winery Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite)

The group's identity stems from the acquisition of the celebrated Château Lafite Rothschild by the Rothschild family in the 19th century. Since then the group has grown by bringing together several historic Bordeaux estates and investing in projects abroad. Over time DBR has combined the management of its classic châteaux with international initiatives and agricultural policies aimed at protecting the land.

The group promotes an approach that combines respect for the terroir, careful vineyard management and the passing on of knowledge: sustainable practices, a focus on biodiversity and the pursuit of balance in both vineyard and cellar. In the French estates a conversion to organic viticulture has been undertaken, and the company states its aim to preserve the vineyard landscape for future generations.
