Winery history Francesco Clerico

The Clerico family has been tied to the Langhe hills for generations. Francesco Clerico, born in 1939 in Bussia, returned to take charge of the family estate in the early 1990s. He renovated the winery and focused production on the region’s typical wines, maintaining a family-run operation.

Production philosophy

A traditional farming approach that respects the ecosystem: attentive vineyard care, simplicity in winemaking and a focus on grape quality to produce wines that reflect the character of the land. The estate practices certified organic cultivation.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyards and production are rooted in the Bussia hamlet of Monforte d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, an area historically renowned for its Barolo subzones.
