Winery history Giovanna Madonia Az. Agr.

The estate was established on the family's land in Bertinoro: after World War II, Pietro owned vineyards and olive groves. From the 1990s Giovanna replanted and expanded the vineyards with the aim of producing quality wines, and she continues to run the estate together with her daughters.

Production philosophy

Prioritizing quality and respect for the land: vineyards are managed according to organic principles, using bush-trained vines, hand-harvesting and grape selection; winemaking is carried out with care to preserve the varietal and site characteristics.

Terroir and vineyards

Bertinoro, on the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennine slope known as "Balcone della Romagna": hills overlooking the Adriatic, a climate shaped by sea breezes, and calcareous-clay soils that characterize the local wines.
