Winery Greg Linn Wines

Greg Linn describes a personal journey that begins with a passion for wine and a background as a collector and organizer of major tastings. After the experience with Ambullneo and a subsequent separation from his partners, in 2006 Greg Linn launched the Greg Linn Wines brand to continue producing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah in the United States and to develop international projects in Northern Italy and in Champagne, France.

An artisanal, minimalist approach: low-yield production, use of natural yeasts and controlled fermentations, and meticulous attention to fruit selection both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The declared attitude is "whatever it takes": discarding bunches or barrels that do not meet the standards to achieve high-quality wines that express the place.

Headquartered and operating in the United States, based in Lompoc. Concurrently, the project includes vineyard production and leases, and négociant/import relationships in wine regions of Northern Italy, as well as Champagne production in the Les Mesnil area of France.

Recent accolades listed on the website include awards at the Sommeliers Choice Awards 2024: for example, 97 points and "Wine of the Year by Country" for the 2021 Barolo Perno, and various medals for wines such as Barbaresco Meruzzano and Langhe Nebbiolo.
