Winery Isolabella della Croce

Discover the story, territory and wines of Isolabella della Croce.

Winery Isolabella della Croce (Loazzolo, Asti). Produces the Pinot Noir “Bricco del Falco” Piemonte DOC, made from 100% estate-grown grapes. Family-owned with 19th-century origins and a modern revival begun in 2001.

Winery history Isolabella della Croce

Origins date to the 19th century with Egidio Isolabella (liqueur/vermouth maker). The original facility was destroyed in 1943; the family returned to winemaking and established the current project in Loazzolo in 2001 (Lodovico Isolabella della Croce, his wife Maria Teresa and their sons Luigi and Francesco). The estate reports about 100,000 bottles per year.

Production philosophy

A search for deep connection with the territory, respect for biodiversity and the ‘heroic’ viticulture of Loazzolo’s steep hills; an approach focused on quality, slowness and hospitality as core values.

Terroir and vineyards

Loazzolo (Alta Langa / Langa Astigiana). Vineyards at 500–550 m elevation on very steep slopes (reported inclines approaching 80%), calcareous-marly soils, microclimate with strong diurnal temperature swings that enhance freshness and structure. Production area for the estate’s Piemonte DOC Pinot Noir.
