Winery history Azienda Agricola Marcalberto

Family-run winery established in the early 1990s by Piero Cane and today led by his sons Marco and Alberto. The initial winemaking and bottle aging took place in the village’s historic cellars carved into the tuff, while winemaking operations were later moved to a farmhouse near the historic center.

Production philosophy

A French-leaning stylistic approach with attention to gentle pressing, winemaking that employs a judicious use of neutral oak, reduced added sulfites and extended sur lie aging. Production focused on softness, freshness and drinkability.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in the Langhe area, with vineyards situated within approximately 10 km of the winery; marly‑calcareous soils and vineyards at 250–620 metres altitude, with varied exposures allowing staggered harvests.
