Discover the story, territory and wines of Mas Martinet.
Family-owned winery in the Priorat (DOC Priorat) led by Sara Pérez, known for deep, mineral red wines produced with an organic approach and minimal intervention.
The Pérez Ovejero family's project began in the Priorat region in the early 1980s: Josep Lluís Pérez and Montse Ovejero undertook studies and planted vineyards, developing the venture that would become Mas Martinet. Official and local sources indicate the start of activity in 1981, while other commercial descriptions and industry accounts place the company's founding and rise in the second half of the 1980s. From the late 1990s / early 2000s, technical and winemaking management passed to Sara Pérez, who consolidated a focus on single-cru wines and the enhancement of historic parcels such as Clos Martinet, Els Escurçons and Camí Pesseroles.
Production philosophy
Mas Martinet practices agriculture focused on regenerating the land: minimal intervention in the cellar, attention to biodiversity, and integrated management of vineyards, olive groves and woodlands according to agroecological principles. The estate also promotes values of social and environmental sustainability through the family's management of the project.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the heart of Priorat, the estate cultivates terraced vineyards on llicorella soils typical of the appellation. The vineyards, spread between Falset and the wine-producing area of Gratallops, produce wines marked by pronounced minerality and the characteristic structure of the terroir.
