Winery history Montevertine

The estate is tied to the Manetti family: the property was purchased by Sergio Manetti in the second half of the 1960s and was gradually transformed from a country residence into a wine-producing estate. From the first plantings came wines made for family and friends; over time celebrated labels such as Le Pergole Torte were introduced. After Sergio’s passing, management continued with family members, who have maintained a focus on tradition and on Sangiovese.

Production philosophy

Oriented toward simplicity, respect for the land and artisanal care of the vineyard and winery, with a strong focus on enhancing local traditional varieties and producing wines that reflect the identity of the place.
