Winery history Domaine Robert Roth

The Roth family first bottled after World War II. The vineyard has been passed down through several generations and is today managed by family members active in both the vineyard and the cellar. In recent years management has been renewed through a generational transition, with greater focus on vineyard and cellar practices.

Production philosophy

The approach emphasizes respect for the terroir and the vine's seasonal cycles, with measured intervention in the cellar to allow the distinct character of each lieu-dit to emerge; a focus on the quality of the fruit rather than on quantity.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in Soultz at the foot of the Grand Ballon, the domaine works on sandy, sandstone and calcareous marl soils, with parcels identified as Mittelbourg, Orschwillerbourg, Hornstein, Binsburg and the Grand Cru Ollwiller. The different exposures and soils are used to produce wines distinguished by their precision and length.

Awards and recognitions

Featured and included in the 'Guide Vert' selection of Revue des Vins de France; mentions in the regional and specialist press for some cuvées.
