Winery Ruffino

The winery was founded in Pontassieve by cousins Ilario and Leopoldo Ruffino; from the start it focused on marketing its wine beyond regional borders. Over the course of its history it gained recognition with labels such as Riserva Ducale, overcame the difficulties of the wartime period and expanded its scope by acquiring and developing several estates in Tuscany. In recent years the group has strengthened its presence in international markets and has been involved in capital transactions that changed its ownership structure at an international level.

Production focused on quality and on showcasing the local area, combining traditional practices with innovation. In recent years the producer has implemented sustainability and social responsibility programs and promotes agricultural and business practices that are environmentally conscious.

Primarily Tuscany: the areas of Chianti Classico, Colli Senesi, Montalcino, Bolgheri and the Tuscan Maremma; the company also operates in various Italian appellations and markets wines from multiple regions listed in its references.
