Winery history Scarpa

Antonio Scarpa founded the winery in Nizza Monferrato in 1900. In 1949, it passed to Mario Pesce; Carlo Castino later helped shape its style and production. Since 2018, Scarpa has expanded its presence into prestigious vineyard sites in the Langhe.

Production philosophy

Scarpa emphasizes Piedmontese identity, elegance and ageing potential. The winery describes its approach as separate, slow and expressive vinifications without forcing the wine.

Terroir and vineyards

The winery is based in Nizza Monferrato and farms vineyards in Monferrato and the Langhe. Grapes for Barbaresco Tettineive come from Neive, at about 400 metres above sea level, on predominantly sandy soils.
