Winery Tenuta Montauto

A family-run estate: the vineyards have been tied to Riccardo Lepri’s family for decades. The first plantings are attributed to his grandfather Enos; the estate took its current shape with the winemaking project launched by Riccardo in the early 2000s. The work combines local tradition with production choices focused on artisanal quality.

Artisanal production and minimal intervention: vineyards managed with organic methods and a focus on sustainability, use of renewable energy, and winemaking practices aimed at preserving the terroir to produce fresh, mineral, and elegant wines.

Located in the Tuscan Maremma, the estate is characterized by clayey, mineral-rich soils and a microclimate influenced by the sea breezes from nearby Capalbio. These conditions primarily favor high-quality white wines.
