Winery history Tornatore

The Tornatore family has cultivated land on the slopes of Mount Etna for generations: the estate traces its operational roots back to 1865 and a family-driven process of growth that led to the expansion of the vineyards and the construction of winemaking facilities throughout the 20th century.

Production philosophy

The estate focuses on expressing the Etna terroir and on using local grape varieties. It declares a commitment to environmentally friendly agronomic practices, the integration of modern technologies and the use of renewable energy to reduce its impact, supported by sustainability certifications.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyards are located on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, in historic contrade such as Pietrarizzo, Santo Spirito, Calderara and others. The soils are volcanic, and viticulture is often carried out on terraces using the alberello method and other traditional systems.

Awards and recognitions
