Winery Vigne di Bertinoro

The Bertinoro area boasts a long winemaking tradition: the vineyards surrounding the hill have been the foundation of local production for centuries. Wineries in the area have also organized into consortia to promote Bertinoro’s wine and landscape at regional and international levels.

Enhancing the bond between grape variety and terroir, expressing the characteristics of the hill and local soils through viticultural practices aimed at quality and typicity. The approach of local producers focuses on telling the story of the landscape, the history of indigenous grapes, and promoting the area as a wine tourism experience.

The hill of Bertinoro overlooks the rolling hills of Romagna from a panoramic vantage point that has earned it the nickname “Balcone di Romagna.” The vineyards are planted on soils characterised by “spungone” and are part of the areas regulated by the DOC Romagna subzones, including the rules for Sangiovese and Pagadebit in the Bertinoro subzone.
