Management remains with the von Oetinger family; the estate is currently run by Achim von Oetinger. In recent years the producer has stated that it has repositioned its business, decisively focusing on quality and grape selection, and enhancing historic vineyards in the municipality of Erbach in the Rheingau.

Production is based on a vineyard-centered approach: careful grape selection, a preference for Riesling, and cellar work marked by patience and respect for the fruit. The style is described as unconventional compared to the mainstream and oriented toward precision and minerality.
