Winery history Weingut Emmerich Knoll

The Knoll family has cultivated vineyards in Unterloiben since the 19th century; according to sources, their ancestors practiced viticulture from 1825. After the war the winery established regular bottling and, over time, developed both dry vintage wines and premium Prädikat wines. Today the winery remains family-run, with the children involved in its management.

Production philosophy

Production focused on expressing the terroir: terroir of individual Rieden, careful vineyard management and winemaking that emphasizes clarity, structure and aging potential. The estate is a member of Vinea Wachau and follows the association's strict rules on origin and quality.
