Winery Zambartas Wineries

The Zambartas family's history in wine began with Akis Zambartas's oenological studies in France and his 1980s research into Cyprus's indigenous grape varieties. The project culminated in the establishment of the winery in 2006; today the family runs it with an approach that combines scientific expertise and contemporary winemaking practices.

Strong focus on local varieties and the expression of each individual vineyard: the winery promotes farming practices that respect the soil, produces Single Vineyard lines and experiments with native grape varieties to showcase the character of the different crus. At the same time, it uses international blends to offer balanced, approachable wines.

The winery is located in the village of Agios Amvrosios, in the so-called Krasochoria of the Limassol district, on the southern slopes of the Troodos massif — a terroir defined by elevation and soils that produce fresh, balanced wines.

The winery has won medals and awards in competitions and has been featured in international publications; references include participation and prizes in regional competitions and mentions in the specialist press.
