Shipping within the European Union
We regularly ship to all major European Union countries. For most destinations, delivery times are fast and no customs procedures are required.
EU delivery times
- Standard EU countries: 48–72 business hours from dispatch
- Nordic and Balkan countries: 72–96 business hours from dispatch
EU shipments are handled by international couriers such as UPS and DHL, with tracking always included.
Private customers and EU businesses
We ship both to private customers and to businesses with a valid intra-EU VAT number. Different tax rules may apply for business customers, according to current regulations.
Shipping to non-EU countries
In addition to the EU, Bottle of Italy ships to many non-EU destinations. Delivery times and shipping conditions may vary depending on the country.
Non-EU delivery times and methods
- Switzerland: 3–5 business days, Swiss Post courier, customs clearance included
- United States and Canada: 15–20 business days, UPS or DHL, customs clearance included
- Other non-EU countries: 3–10 business days, DHL or UPS
For some non-EU destinations, import duties or taxes may be requested directly by local authorities and are not included in the shipping cost.
Product restrictions for non-EU countries
For the United Kingdom and Switzerland, shipping is limited to:
- Wine
- Food oils
- Vinegars
Spirits are currently not available for shipment to these destinations.
Packaging and safety
All shipments are prepared using certified bottle packaging, designed to minimise the risk of breakage during transport.
Tracking and delivery
Each order is shipped with a tracking code, allowing customers to monitor the shipment until delivery. If the recipient is not available, the courier may attempt a new delivery or make the parcel available at an authorised pickup point.
