Producer history El Jimador

El Jimador was launched by Casa Herradura in 1994 as an offering intended to make 100% agave tequila more accessible. Production takes place at Casa Herradura (distillery in Amatitán, Jalisco) and the brand was included in the Casa Herradura asset acquisition announced by Brown‑Forman on 28 August 2006.

Production philosophy

To produce authentic tequila, 'premium but accessible': focus on agave quality and traditional processes (hand harvesting, natural fermentation) with a direct, no‑frills approach so it can be enjoyed by everyone.

Territory

Amatitán, Jalisco (Mexico). Production is tied to the Tequila Valley territory in Jalisco, with raw materials sourced from the region.
