Production of Madeira wine (fortified wine) with barrel aging; the traditional canteiro method is used for aged bottles. For younger expressions the faster aging process commonly associated with Madeira is also adopted.

Producer history Henriques & Henriques

The Henriques family has been producing wine on the island of Madeira since the mid-19th century (production began around 1850). The company was officially registered in 1925; in the following decades it consolidated control of its vineyards, modernized its facilities (1960s and 1992) and expanded exports to international markets. In recent years it has introduced new ranges and sustainability practices and maintains aged reserves using traditional methods.
