Production method
The Sassi Neri grappa is made from fresh, still-dripping Montepulciano pomace; distillation is performed by discontinuous water-bath (bagnomaria) method to the producer's specifications at an external distillery. This is followed by a short ageing period and static decanting in stainless steel.

Producer history Le Terrazze
The Le Terrazze estate has documented origins dating back to 1882 and belongs to the Terni family. During the twentieth century the company developed its wine production, began bottling its wines and launched labels such as the Sassi Neri reserve (first vintage of Sassi Neri in 1988). Today the family management continues with production of wine, olive oil and a grappa obtained from the estate's pomace.

The estate values the Conero territory and the Montepulciano variety; it favors productions linked to the local terroir, cellar practices oriented to quality and products that express the character of the Riviera del Conero.
