Production based on rums obtained from sugarcane/molasses, with selection and blending of reserves; maturation in wooden casks for the aged expressions. Some releases are blends of rums from different origins and maturations.

Producer history Pampero
Pampero was born in Caracas and its origins date back to 1938, when the house was founded by Alejandro Hernández and partners. During the 20th century the brand became known for being among the first in Venezuela to regulate and promote aged rums (with a minimum declared maturation of two years for some labels). Over time the brand changed ownership and until 2024 it was part of an internationally held portfolio that included Diageo; on 17 July 2024 Pampero was sold to Gruppo Montenegro.
Production philosophy
To highlight the Venezuelan sugarcane terroir and the tradition of ageing: the brand emphasizes the selection and blending of selected reserves and the balance between rums intended for cocktails and those for tasting.
