Premier Barrel is a label within Douglas Laing & Co.'s portfolio, created to showcase single cask single malts presented in distinctive decanters. The range was launched in the 2000s (first cited introduction in 2008) and received a commercial and packaging relaunch in 2018, remaining part of Douglas Laing's 'Exceptional Single Casks' family.

Production philosophy

Selection and enhancement of individual casks: Premier Barrel focuses on single-cask bottles that express the specific character of their distillery of origin. The philosophy follows the group's standard for as-natural-as-possible bottles (natural colour, no added colouring, generally non chill-filtered) and packaging designed for gifting and collecting.
