Producer history Stumbras
Founded in 1906 as a state wine warehouse in Kaunas, Stumbras developed throughout the 20th century by merging several local facilities and establishing itself as the leading spirits producer in Lithuania. During the Soviet era it was nationalized and in 1948 incorporated into the Mykolas Velykis liquor plant; in 2003 it was privatized and became part of the MG Baltic group, with investments that modernized its technological base and relaunched the brands. The site also houses a company museum and offers guided tours focused on production and the company's history.
