The idea for Tonka Gin originated when founder Daniel Soumikh encountered the tonka bean on a trip to Spain; after nearly two years of development and collaboration with bartenders and a small manufactory, the first bottles were presented in 2014. The project grew into an artisanal operation near Hamburg, expanding its line over time and releasing limited editions (including rum-barrel expressions).
