Aged bottlings are matured primarily in ex‑bourbon American oak barrels and some editions undergo double maturation in Port, Madeira or Sherry casks.

The company is located on the eponymous Worthy Park Estate (Lluidas Vale, St. Catherine) with documentation of ownership dating back to 1670 and the first recorded rum production in 1741. Sugar/rum operations were interrupted in the 20th century (rum production ceased in the 1960s) and modern distillation was relaunched in the 21st century with the reopening and investments of the owning group, leading to new commercial releases and a single‑estate line.
