Luisa estate

Tenuta Luisa di Mariano del Friuli is a winery that boasts a centuries-old history. It all started in 1907 when Francesco Luisa opened the first estate on 5 hectares of space. To date, the estate extends over 110 hectares and this has been possible only thanks to the commitment, passion and enthusiasm for wine of 5 generations of the family.

The estate stands on the territories of the Friuli Isonzo DOC area, which owes its name to the homonymous river that crosses the eastern part of the region. The confluence of the hot air of the Scirocco and the cold air of the Bora, give Friuli Venezia Giulia a unique climate particularly suited to viticulture. The climate, combined with the clayey soil capable of rapidly absorbing water and minerals, allow for the cultivation of grapes that ripen more slowly and are therefore more concentrated. The quality given by nature is then preserved in the estate's modern cellar, where both white and red wines are produced.

The value of the wines of Tenuta Luisa is recognized both nationally and internationally; this is confirmed by the countless awards that the winery has obtained, including the International Wine Grand Prix in 2017.
