The Alghero Rosso DOC "Tanca Farrà" by Sella & Mosca represents one of the most authentic and refined expressions of the Alghero terroir in Sardinia. This wine is the result of a skillful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cannonau grapes, which mature under the generous sun of the region, yielding a robust and complex structure.

On the nose, the Alghero Rosso DOC "Tanca Farrà" presents an intriguing bouquet, featuring prominent notes of ripe red fruits such as cherries and blackberries, enriched with spicy undertones and a light touch of vanilla, a legacy of careful aging in French oak barrels. This maturation phase not only harmonizes the tannins but also imparts extraordinary aromatic complexity.

On the palate, the wine showcases a powerful tannic structure that harmoniously balances with fresh acidity. The fruity sensations intertwine with spicy ones, creating an elegantly persistent palate. The long finish is warm and enveloping, with a lingering aftertaste reminiscent of pleasant balsamic notes and light toasts.

The Alghero Rosso DOC "Tanca Farrà" by Sella & Mosca is ideal for accompanying rich and flavorful dishes such as braised meats, stews, or aged cheeses. Its versatility also makes it perfect for a simple aperitif, leading guests on a sensory journey through the intense and characteristic flavors of Sardinia.

Serve at a temperature of around 18°C to enhance all its nuances. Its aging potential makes it an excellent candidate to enrich any wine enthusiast’s cellar.

Winery history
Founded in 1899 by two Piedmontese entrepreneurs, Erminio Sella and Edgardo Mosca, the estate was established through the reclamation of the plain north of Alghero. Over time the company has developed across a large Mediterranean property; alongside the historic winery and service buildings there are hospitality facilities created in the old farm buildings.
