The Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG 2012 of Cassa di Legno, produced by Tommasi, embodies the elegance and complexity typical of this famous Venetian denomination. Obtained from Corvina, Rondinella, and other indigenous varieties, selected in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica, this Amarone is born from a careful drying process in a fruit drying loft, which concentrates sugars and aromas.
The long aging, carried out in oak barrels, provides a balance between structure and refinement: the color is intense ruby with slight garnet reflections. On the nose, enveloping scents of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, tobacco, and dark chocolate emerge. On the palate, it is full, soft, with velvety tannins and a persistent finish that invites slow meditation.
Perfect with red meats, braised dishes, and aged cheeses, this Amarone represents a gem of the Venetian tradition, capable of expressing the charm of the territory and Tommasi’s winemaking expertise.
