Winery history
The Rothschild family's presence in the vineyards of Pauillac is part of the group's history: James Mayer de Rothschild's purchase of Château Lafite in the 19th century was one of the turning points that led to the current collection of estates now brought together under the name Domaines Barons de Rothschild. Over time the group has expanded by incorporating several properties in Bordeaux and investing abroad, while maintaining a shared approach to managing viticultural knowledge.
