In the heart of Burgundy, the Alain Gras winery is renowned for its passion and the precision with which it tends to the old vineyards, beautifully evidenced by the Auxey Duresses 2022 "Les Tres Vieilles Vignes". This splendid wine is produced from ancient vines, some of which are over 60 years old, allowing for grapes of rare concentration.

The Auxey Duresses 2022 displays a suggestive ruby red color and exceptional aromatic complexity. On the nose, one can distinguish intense notes of ripe red fruits, subtle spices, and a light trace of vanilla, derived from refined aging in barrels. On the palate, the wine is rich and layered, with a perfect balance between lively acidity and mature tannins that promise excellent aging potential.

Ideal for pairing with red meat dishes or aged cheeses, this vintage demonstrates Alain Gras's talent in creating wines that authentically express the terroir of Auxey Duresses. A true enological gem for discerning enthusiasts and collectors.

Winery history
Alain Gras settled in Saint‑Romain in 1979 and over the years built a small estate with parcels in Saint‑Romain, Meursault and Auxey‑Duresses. In recent years his son Arthur joined the family business and has gradually taken over management of the estate, maintaining the terroir‑focused approach passed down by Alain.
Production philosophy
Emphasis on the value of Saint‑Romain's calcareous terroir, traditional winemaking aimed at freshness, minerality and elegance; vineyard practices focused on targeted pest control and soil management, and hand-harvesting to preserve the quality and identity of the parcels.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is situated in the commune of Saint‑Romain, on limestone hills between Meursault and Pommard. It also manages scattered vineyards in the communes of Meursault and Auxey‑Duresses, on clay‑limestone soils that impart mineral tension to the wines.
Awards and recognitions
Recognized and cited in wine guides and with a well-established presence on the wine lists of numerous three-Michelin-star restaurants; individual cuvées have been positively reviewed by specialist guides.
