Traditional Barbaresco, with prolonged fermentation and maceration in oak vats at a temperature of approximately 28°C. Aging takes place in Slavonian oak barrels for approximately 24 months, followed by bottle refinement for at least one year in cool, dark cellars.

The vineyard, located on a southern exposure and protected from the winds, gives us grapes of exceptional quality.

At sight, it has an intense and bright ruby red color, with the natural tendency to evolve with the passing of the years.

As for the scent, it offers an extraordinary aromatic complexity, with predominant notes of red fruits, accompanied by floral and spicy nuances. The elegance and refinement of Nebbiolo emerge superbly, especially after an adequate period of aging.

As for the taste, this Barbaresco is powerful, rich and austere, extraordinarily expressing the complexity of the Neive terroir. It is a perfect wine for long aging. It pairs perfectly with important first courses such as white truffle risotto and rich and tasty second courses such as roast meats. As the years pass, it also reveals its potential as a meditation wine and pairs beautifully with hard and semi-hard cheeses.

Winery history
The Massolino family has been active in Serralunga d'Alba since 1896, a date established from archival records. Over time the estate has promoted historic vineyards in Serralunga and in recent years has also launched projects in the Barbaresco area, expanding its presence in the Langhe.
Production philosophy
The production approach aims to highlight the voice of the terroir and the grape rather than cellar interventions: careful vineyard management, winemaking that respects the raw material, and the goal of producing precise, expressive wines capable of conveying the distinct character of each cru, with particular attention to Nebbiolo.
Terroir and vineyards
The winery is located in Serralunga d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe. The wines come from vineyards on hills well suited to Nebbiolo; the estate offers "classic" wines produced by blending multiple vineyards and crus that highlight differences in soil, exposure and vine age.
