Barolo DOCG is a wine produced by the Ricossa family whose maceration and fermentation take place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with frequent pumping over. The refinement is of 2 years in French barrique and 1 year in bottle.

A wine that pours into the glass with a red colour garnet with orange reflections. The bouquet is typical of the vine, and is in fact characterized by scents of licorice, blended with perfumes of red fruits, spicy scents and notes of toasted caramel.

In the mouth it has a good structure, a balanced wine with an interesting texture to be savored without haste. A seductive and elegant red which, thanks to well-orchestrated tannins, becomes an excellent wine to pair with dishes based on red meats and platters of well-seasoned cheeses.

Winery history
The brand's roots lie in the Asti area: the family has origins linked to a distillery dating back to the late 19th century, and the Ricossa name has been known since the early 20th century. The modern production identity has been consolidated around Tenuta Ca' dei Mandorli, with a new winery and the development of a collection of classic Piedmontese wines over recent decades, and a relaunch of the brand beginning in the last decade with integration into the Argea/Mondodelvino group.
Production philosophy
Interpreting classic Piedmontese grape varieties through a contemporary lens, showcasing the terroir with Barbera as the primary reference, and offering approachable wines for everyday consumption without losing the connection to the region’s historic appellations.
Terroir and vineyards
Based at Tenuta Ca' dei Mandorli in Castel Boglione. The estate's vineyards are arranged to form a natural amphitheatre in the heart of the wine-growing areas of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato.
